THE CREE INDIANS OF CANADA

I found myself in a province of Ontario, 280km north of Toronto in Native Indian territory. Every year, they have their own festival with their well-known traditional clothing, dances, fires, music consisting of wind instruments and singing, and their traditional dance that if you were there to watch, you would feel like you are in another dimension. You feel one with them.

They are friendly people, especially when you tell them that you are from Ellas (Greece).

Of the various Indian tribes, the Cree people are throughout all of Canada and most live in the northern region of Montreal.

THE HISTORY OF THE CREE PEOPLE IS OF GREAT INTEREST

The Cree people name their God “Ntaou Ze”, and if this doesn’t remind you of something, I will mention “Dias Zeus”.

Many years ago, their name was Crees = Greece (Ellas), but for some reason they changed it to Crits (Cretans), only to change it again to Cree which translates to “stream”.

Every four years during their festival, they were these feathers of the eagle, lighting fires and shouting out Dedalo Dedalo!! (Daedalus).

Daedalus (Dedalo) was from Crete (Cree), and with Icarus, they flew from Crete with wings towards Athens, which led to the accident of Icarus based on the allegorical story older generations learnt at school.

Does this remind you of anything? The Indians of Canada and the U.S.A. have many stories that remind us of Ellas. The Anasazi (Greek: Anasa Zoi, which means the breath “Anasa” of life “Zoi”), the Navajo (Greek: Navagoi, which means sea explorers), Geronimo (Greek: Iero Onoma, which means a Sacred “Iero” Name “Onoma”), many symbols including the Ellene Key (Maiandros), Medusa, the Pan Flute and many more, all remind us and speak to us about something of Ellas.
